|Design||Constructo (Atlantis series)|
|Measures (cm)||Length: 46, Beam: 12, Height: 44|

The Silhouet is a river boat built in 1893 in Groningen, the Netherlands. Called “Tjalk”, this type of boat is typical of the area and operated as a light cargo ship in the inland waters of the Netherlands. The fact that it does not have a keel allowed it to navigate in shallow water. For this same reason, the two daggerboards are on the sides of the boat. The usual crew was two people.
After 1930, no new boats of this type have been built, but there are still many that are carefully maintained by their owners.
Currently championships are held with this type of boat, the most important is called “Skutsjesilen”. Some have been converted into small cruises.
The Silhouet has been used for this purpose since 1990, so cabins were added on top of the deck, and the cargo area is currently occupied by cabins.
This ship has its port in Harlingen, in the north of the Netherlands.
